Pilates Rehabilitation
Pilates is an exercise program that focuses on the core postural muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine. Pilates encourages vertebral alignment of the spine and strengthens the deep postural muscles that support this alignment.
Our Pilates Program
RPI, offers 1 on 1 and small group, (maximum 4 participants), Mat Pilates classes taught by one of our therapists with Pilate's certification. Our Pilates programs are designed around physical therapy principles, with each session tailored to meet the needs of the participants.
Through Pilates participants will:
- Develop the deep muscles of the back and abdomen to support posture
- Become aware of neutral spine alignment throughout the exercise
- Improve muscle control, flexibility and movement
- Lengthen and strengthen their muscles
